Economic integration - which is connected with elimination of economic borders between countries - is realised in the scope of markets and in the scope of economic policy. Integration of markets means free movement of goods and factors of production. Integration in the scope of economic policy needs coordination or unification of member countries’ policy and limits their autonomy in the field of setting of the national economic policy priorities and the realisation measures. The Polish experiences as an associated country with the European Communities show that it has the certain positive as well as the negative consequences. These negative consequences are the result of disproportion in economic development of Poland and the European Union. Therefore in the case of Poland it is necessary not only to achieve the suitable macroeconomic indicators but also to prepare the Polish economy to integration in the scope of production, efficiency and employment.
