The paper concentrates on economic dynamie changes in the Polish economy during the XXth century. It is an attempt to confront and sum up views stated in many economic, historie and others papers, dealing with the subject. The goal of this paper is to contribute to the generał theory of long-term dynamics. This paper considers the processes of change as seen in three parts of economic activity: institutions, real terms, and expectations. This paper gives a preliminary approach to the methods, and limits, of analysis of these phenomena.
