The axe has a crescent symmetrical blade with a distinct cheek and oval wedge (in vertical projection) ending with a rectangular hammer. It is a loose find, deprived of archaeological context, therefore it lacks direct data to determine its chronology. It might have been abandoned during construction work carried out in the 2nd half of the 19th century in Miodowa Street, which would suggest its modern or contemporary chronology (19th/20th-20th century).
