The contribution presents the find of a Kelheim-type bronze palstave-chisel from Cífer. In west Slovakia this kind of find is unique. Analogous artefacts from western Danubian regions are dated to the end of the early Bronze Age, or rarely the beginnings of the middle Bronze Age. The surface find joins a spectrum of metal industry of the Maďarovce culture living near brooks springing forth from the Little Carpathians.
