The impact of the country’s image on consumer judgments is named the country of origin effect. Multidimensionality of COO concerning low-rated European countries has been confirmed in authors’ previous research. The aim of this article was to check whether multidimensionality applies to the highly developed European countries as well. Examined model consisted of four evaluation criteria: modernity, diversity, quality and prestige. The data were collected using survey technique. Analysis of variance and t-test was applied. Results showed that there are significant differences in the evaluation of products and services dependently of four given dimensions of the country of origin. Knowledge about multidimensional character of COO may be important in shaping the marketing activities in foreign markets.
