From 1921 to 1940 Les Amis de l Pologne association published a monthly under the same title, for supporting its statutory actions - to make Poland known and beloved in France. It was a part of a big propaganda campaign, with help prom polish diplomatic outposts in France and polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for building positive and friendly image of Poland in France." "Les Amis…" tried to create an interesting view of Poland, to show its present day, history, literature, indutrial development, and the place which was taken by Poland after the First World War." Les Amis…" showed Poland as a monolitic strong unit, closely connected to western tradition and culture. The controversal themes were omitted.he main reason for these actions was to show that Poland can be an important ally for France in context of German threa.
