In terms of Saussure's conception, sign language is an immaterial, a mental entity which consists of identifying (acoustic images) and so called (the term). Precisely indicating signs are material. They are examined by linguistic disciplines, e.g. psychological. In linguistics, the sign has dualistic character either as a psychical and a material phenomenon or as a systemic phenomenon (ideal) and a communicative one (material). We can think of triadic concept of the sign and differentiate: thespeech sign(langage) - signifier is a memory acoustic or graphic image andsignifié- a virtual semantic content, communication sign (parole). Signifier is an individual acoustic material or graphic form and signifié is the actual semantic content and sign language (langue). Signifier is the ideal material acoustic or graphic form and signifié- a summary of content components. Arbitration and formality are the attributes, common for all types of signs.Triadic character of the sign appears to be characteristic for other the semiotic signs.
