In this article, the question of Derrida and literature is the starting point for presenting the link between the literary and the transcendental. Following this step, we focus on the problem of the “event” (or the “unique”) that transcends or violates the difference between the literary and the philosophical, between form and meaning. We trace the aforementioned issue, which does not imply the destruction of this difference, but rather its questioning, in “Qual Quelle”, Derrida’s 1971 lecture on the writer Paul Valéry.
