This study dwells into decade defining particularities indentified in pop lyrics of 2010s. As the decade in which the pop genre has reached its peak, the 2010s spawned a variety of incredibly successful records with a tremendous impact on mass culture. Three suggestive songs with different levels of reach and commercial success have been dissected and analysed from the perspectives of stylistics, phonetics, rhetoric, semantics, intertextuality and intermediality.
