Regional policy plays important role in generał economic policy of developed countries. It is caused by a few reasons: different economic situations of different regions, and industry influence on economic development decreasing. Conception of investments in issue regions was verified in last decades. Such aprocess leaded to unemployment, even in rich countries. Just long-term unemployment contributed to bigger efforts of regional policy. In this countries many different regional policy instruments were developed. Many organisations engaged regional policy were created. In perspectives of Poland's membership in the European Community adjusting of regional policy instruments becomes a major issue. Poland should use EC's experience and knowledge of regional policy.
