Tumuli cemetery in Bukivna (former Bukówna) in Ukraine is one of the more important necropoles of the Komarov version of the Trzciniec culture. The site is situated on the upper Dniester. It was built on a relatively flat section of the area, slightly sloping towards the north and the west (tumuli groups I and II) and towards the east (group III). Tumulus 1: six immovable objects and over 400 movable sources were documented in the mound. Two timber constructions (ritual objects?) and a stone-and-timber one (cenotaph?) were registered among immovable objects. Tumulus 2 - during its research relics of a stone construction (cenotaph?), analogical to that in tumulus 1 were registered, where two vessels and a fragment of a bronze pin were found. Radiocarbon dating of organic material from tumuli 1 (8) and 2 (1) was performed nine times. Three 14C contents obtained from charcoal (oak and alder) from the timber construction in tumulus 1 (objects 1 and 2) and charcoal extracted from under the pin (furnishings in object 3?) was calibrated using the Oxcal v. 3.10 and v. 4.1.5 programme, resulted in determining a time bracket between 1750-1500 ВС. Two older contents were obtained from oak charcoal, so the effect of “old carbon” has to be considered, the younger ones from alder. Probability sum of jointly calibrated dates at the level 1σ was contained within the bracket from 1620-1490 BC (54,9%).
