Artykuł przedstawia przemiany w poziomie i strukturze wydatków gospodarstw domowych w Polsce jak i w pozostałych nowoprzyjętych krajach Unii Europejskiej w porównaniu do 15 „starych” członków UE w latach 1993-2004. W opracowaniu podjęto próbę wskazania kierunków zmian, jakie zachodzą w budżetach i wydatkach gospodarstw domowych, tak na produkty żywnościowe jak i nieżywnościowe.

This study evaluated the changes in household spending in Poland compared with other European Union countries in the period 1993-2004. The article presents the changes in the level and structure of expenditures by household and by country.
