Smart specialization in the tourism of Polish regions

This article aims to analyze smart specialization in Polish regions with particular emphasis on tourism. This is done on the basis of strategy papers for each regional and national smart specialization which arose at the turn of the years 2014 and 2015. The article presents the idea of the concept of smart specialization based on the theoretical foundations of regional and economic development and the objective of the emergence of intelligent specialization. In addition, methodologies shown the emergence of intelligent specialization and compared the different regions on selected smart specialization and reference is into national smart specialization (KIS). Furthermore, the author analyzes the spatial smart specialization with particular emphasis on tourism as an interdisciplinary field of economic activity.
