Thomas Edward Lawrence, popularly know as Lawrence of Arabia, was born in North Wales August 16, 1888. He was the second son of Sir Thomas Chapman and Sarah Junner. After graduating (archaelogy) with honors from Oxford (Jesus College), he served as an assistant at a British Musuem in Iraq and Mesopotamia. Then, Lawrence was posted to Military Inteligence Department in Egypt (1914, I World War). After the war, in 1922, T. E. Lawrence was the officer in RAF, RTC (as Hume or Rose) and again in RAF in England and India (1925-1935). On 19, May 1935 he died, after a motorcycle accident in Clouds Hill, Dorset. His classic book is “Seven pillars of Wisdom” (1926) about the Arab revelot (1916- 1918) and his war experiences.
