The aim of the present considerations was the examination of the Polish speaking Lithuanian inhabitants' language features that are found in the poetry of Aleksander Sniezko. The analysis includes language elements that are related to the idiolect of the writer, as well as the elements having stylistic functions. The material for the analysis was taken from the volume of the poetry 'Wybór wierszy', which was issued in the year 2000. The analysis carried out shows that in the Sniezko poetry there can be found a lot of forms that are typical to the Polish language in Lithuania. Most of them belong to the specifically personal language of the poet (i.e. 'mie' in the accusative case, enclitic forms of the attributive pronouns, the ending '-u' in the accusative case of masculine nouns, nominal part of the predicate in the instrumental case, the object expressed in the instrumental case, syntactic constructions such as: 'czekac kogo, czego; bolec komu, pytac u kogo, u mnie jest' , the accusative case in negative constructions, Russian lexis), a part of the typically northern features were used by the author for the stylistic purposes (i.e. the ending '-m' in the first person, word building using the suffix '-uk', the adverbial participle proceeds in the function of the statement, Russian wording). All the language expressions found in the poems of Aleksander Sniezko have found confirmation in many linguistic works on the Polish speaking inhabitants' language of Lithuania. A deeper analysis of the above mentioned texts would allow pointing out more language features typical to the regional peculiarities of the language.
