The Environment Management System (EMS) based on ISO 14001 norm may bring both economic and environmental benefits. The research shows that economic assessment of the EMS was satisfactory, though lower than the assessment of the ecological area. Ecological effects are sooner recognisable than economic benefits which require more time and experience.
