Methodical approaches to the forming and realization of strategy of providing the efficiency of bank activity, necessity and efficiency of application of the strategic planning and management in conditions of dynamic internal environment of transitional period of work of the bank have been studied. Bank strategy which should be determined by such parameters, as co-ordination with financial resources which can be accumulated by a bank and directed to active operations with the purpose of profitability; co-ordination of results and expenses for their achievement; optimum correlation between the expected efficiency and possible risks, typical for bank activity; co-ordination of bank activity with economical terms in Ukraine has been offered.
