This article is devoted to the development of Ukrainian-German relations of the governance period of the "great" Christian-liberal and third "great" coalition, headed by Federal Chancellor Merkel. In order to understand better the evolution of Eastern European policy of Germany 2005-2015, the theories of international relations, including the integration theories were used. The transformation of the main foreign policy priorities of Germany and Ukraine during the given period was analyzed. The mechanism of coordination of the Eastern Policy of Germany with the Eastern policy of the European Union was uncovered. The process of defining a hierarchy of priorities of Germany to address the problem of European politics and its important component Eastern European politics was described. The conclusions indicate that the events of 2013-2016 proved the fallacy of the pro-Russian incline of the Eastern European policy of Germany. Therefore, Germany is trying to restore the European order, formed after the " Cold War", wich was violated by the aggressive actions of Russia against Ukraine.
