In recent years, the Polish Armed Forces have reorganized its logistics system in order to adjust to the constantly changing conditions of the environment, expectations and challenges. The key reasons for these changes were due to an increased role of Poland in the North Atlantic Alliance, increasing involvement of the armed forces in operations outside the country, and the creation of a professional army. Therefore, the redevelopment of the logistical potential resulted from the need to adapt the tasks and logistical structures to the increasingly changing operational requirements and the trends in army logistics influenced by the experiences gained during the missions abroad. The changes were also determined by requirements that were set for the armed forces in the field of armament, soldiers’ equipment, increased competence in self-planning and organization of logistic support, and cooperation with allies within the framework of multinational logistics. The necessity to adapt to logistical tasks and structures, to the changing operational requirements of our army as well as to the expectations and challenges in this field influenced the need to rebuild the stationary logistical capabilities of the Armed Forces in Poland. It should be noted that the rebuilding of the armed forces’ logistics system has led to the creation of a unified common security system for all types of armed forces, where Military Economic Branches are also specialized. They own the funds of the third tier state budget and provide comprehensive security services for individuals and institutions in their regions. The armed forces fulfil their responsibilities regardless of their official subordination, both in peace, crisis and tactical warfare. Military Economic Branches provide full logistics and financial security of military units and institutions in the area of liability. Military Economic Branches use their resources and the means of allocating funds and supplies. They also purchase goods and services, including outsourcing security and rendering services to external entities within outsourcing.
