The article presents the assumptions of MA speech therapy course at the Center for Polish Language and Culture in the World/the Department of Polish as a Foreign Language. It presents the main model of students' education, embedded in problem-based learning (PBL). The PBL axis is working on case studies of people with communication deficits. In the following sections describe the characteristics of children and adults which are used in the speech& language therapy program. The application of problem-based learning made it possible to include the logopeadic path of the Jagiellonian University in the global trend of educating the therapeutic staff.
