Celem artykułu jest wskazanie na rolę współpracy w stymulowaniu po-szczególnych rodzajów innowacji w gospodarce turystycznej. Artykuł składa się z trzech części poprzedzonych wstępem. W części pierwszej zdefiniowano innowacje, w tym in-nowacje w turystyce oraz zaprezentowano ich rodzaje i przykłady. Następnie, w części drugiej wskazano na rolę współpracy w powstawaniu i dyfuzji poszczególnych rodzajów innowacji w gospodarce turystycznej. Przedstawiono także przykłady kooperacji służą-cej stymulowaniu innowacji w regionach turystycznych. Rozważania zakończono synte-tycznym podsumowaniem, w którym wskazano na potrzebę dalszych badań nad proble-matyką kooperacji i jej roli w innowacyjności w gospodarce turystycznej.

The aim of the paper is to point at the role of cooperation in stimulating dif-ferent types of innovations in tourist economy. The article consists of three parts preced-ed by the introduction and finished by conclusions. In the first part innovation (including innovation in tourism) was defined, and its different types and examples were presented. Then, in the second part, the role of cooperation in creating and diffusion of different types of innovations in tourist economy was showed. There were presented examples of cooperation stimulating innovations in tourist regions as well. Then some problems with using cooperation in innovations were shown. Considerations are ended by presenting synthetic conclusions where the need of future research on cooperation and its role in in-novativeness in tourist economy was stressed.
