Artykuł porusza problematykę państwowych funduszy majątkowych w kontekście ich zaangażowania na rynku giełdowym. Celem głównym artykułu jest analiza reakcji rynku na informacje dotyczące składu portfela inwestycyjnego na Giełdzie Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie przez norweski państwowy fundusz majątkowy – Government Pension Fund Global. Badanie przeprowadzone zostało z wykorzystaniem analizy zdarzeń i obejmowało okres 2011-2015. Wyniki badań własnych wskazują na występowanie w oknie zdarzenia (-1,+1), dodatniej nadwyżkowej skumulowanej średniej stopy zwrotu. Wyniki uzyskane w podpróbach jak również z wykorzystaniem średniej nadwyżkowej stopy zwrotu nie potwierdzają w sposób jednoznaczny występowania pozytywnej reakcji inwestorów na analizowane zdarzenie.

The article deals with the issue of sovereign wealth funds in the context of their activity on stock exchange. The main goal of this article is to analyze the market reaction to the information about portfolio holdings of Government Pension Fund Global- the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund. The research was conducted with the usage of event study methodology and the data from 2011 to 2015. The empirical findings of the research suggest the existence of cumulative average abnormal return in the event window (-1,+1). Subsamples analysis as well as average abnormal returns do not fully support the hypothesis on positive market reaction to the event.
