The text consists of a pedagogical reflection written in the margins of the book “Discipline of children – a tort or circumstance repealing illegality?” by Sylvia Różycka-Jaroś. The author of the book tracks changes regarding the disciplining of children in the legislations of both partitioned and independent Poland. A comparison of these changes with the statistics that illustrate the evolution of public awareness concerning the acceptance of various forms of disciplining children in Poland turns out to be most interesting.
