In de dissertatie De contrastieve beschrijving van de verzorgde uitspraak van het Nederlands en het Tsjechisch vanuit het perspectief van de Tsjechische spreker van het Nederlands wordt een vergelijkende beschrijving gegeven van de klanksystemen van Nederlands en Tsjechisch. In twee aparte hoofdstukken worden de klankinventarissen van de geanalyseerde talen onderzocht met het doel om verschillen en overeenkomsten te tonen. Eerst wordt de klinkerinventaris besproken en vervolgens die van de medeklinkers. Op basis van de theorie wordt een gedetailleerd overzicht gegeven van de mogelijke struikelblokken, dat wil zeggen van moeilijke klanken voor Tsjechische sprekers. In dit artikel analyseer ik opnames van twintig sprekers, allen studenten van het Nederlands van het eerste jaar BA tot het vijfde jaar MA, en ik kijk naar de uitspraak van klinkers en diftongen op basis van de opgenomen voorbeeldzinnen.

W pracy doktorskiej De contrastieve beschrijving van de verzorgde uitspraak van het Nederlands en het Tsjechisch vanuit het perspectief van de Tsjechische spreker van het Nederlands (Kontrastywny opis poprawnej wymowy języka niderlandzkiego i czeskiego z perspektywy czeskiego mówiącego w języku niderlandzkim) systemy dźwiękowe języka niderlandzkiego i czeskiego poddano analizie porównawczej. Inwentarze fonemów języków czeskiego i niderlandzkiego zostały przedstawione w dwóch osobnych rozdziałach, aby pokazać zarówno podobieństwa, jak i różnice. W pierwszym rozdziale omówiony został inwentarz fonemów samogłoskowych, w kolejnym zaś spółgłoskowych. Na podstawie różnych źródeł teoretycznych powstał szczegółowy opis potencjalnych przeszkód, tzn. dźwięków trudnych do wymówienia dla Czechów. Artykuł analizuje przykłady 20 czeskich studentów niderlandystyki od I roku I stopnia do II roku II stopnia studiów włącznie, kontrolując samogłoski oraz dyftongi słyszane z ich przykładowych wypowiedzi, które wcześniej zostały nagrane.

In the Ph.D.-thesis De contrastieve beschrijving van de verzorgde uitspraak van het Nederlands en het Tsjechisch vanuit het perspectief van de Tsjechische spreker van het Nederlands (A Contrastive Description of the Standard Pronunciation of Dutch and Czech from the Perspective of the Czech Learners of Dutch), a comparative description is given of the sound systems of Dutch and Czech. In two separate chapters sound inventories of the analyzed languages are examined with the aim to show differences and similarities. First, the vocalic inventory is discussed and then the consonantal inventory. On the basis of the theory a detailed overview is given of the potential stumbling blocks, i.e. difficult sounds for the Czech speakers. In this article I analyze recordings of twenty speakers, all students of Dutch of the BA first year to the fifth year MA, and I look at the pronunciation of vowels and diphthongs based on the recorded example sentences.
