È risaputo come l’autore dell’Apocalisse nutra una grande stima per la relazione d’amore tra un uomo e una donna, una relazione che si consolida e matura nel tempo, fino a confluire nelle nozze. In questo contributo, dopo aver preso in esame la terminologia tipica inerente la dinamica affettiva e sponsale, con un’attenzione particolare alle quattro ricorrenze del termine nu,mfh (18,23; 21,2.9; 22,17), si mette a fuoco la sezione delle lettere alle sette chiese (1,9–3,22), evidenziando come il calore e l’intensità del rapporto d’amore tra Cristo e la Chiesa portino ad intuire la dinamica di un fidanzamento in atto.

It is well known that the author of Revelation has a great appreciation for the loving relationship between a man and a woman, a relationship that consolidates and matures in time, until it results in marriage. In this article, after considering the specific terminology inherent in the dynamics of love and marrige, with particular attention to the four occurrences of the word nu, mfh (18,23; 21,2.9; 22,17), the article focuses on the section on the letters to the seven churches (1,9–3,22), showing how the warmth and the intensity of the loving relationship between Christ and the Church leads to identify the dynamics of an engagement underway.

Luca Pedroli

• nato a Vigevano il 15 giugno 1970, è stato ordinato sacerdote nel 1995. Dal 1994 al 1997 ha frequentato a Roma il Pontificio Istituto Biblico, conseguendo la Licenza in Sacra Scrittura. Sempre presso il Pontificio Istituto biblico dal 1999 al 2001 ha insegnato “Greco biblico”, prima di conseguire nel 2006 il Dottorato in Teologia biblica presso la Pontificia Università Gregoriana. Dal 2001 al 2012 ha insegnato nella Facoltà Teologica dell’Italia Settentrionale, nell’Istituto di Scienze Religiose di Milano, presso gli Studi Teologici Riuniti di Lombardia e presso l’Istituto di Scienze Religiose di Pavia e Vigevano. Ora è docente presso il Pontificio Istituto Biblico di Roma
