We współczesnym świecie sposób interpretacji sensu wiary został zredukowany do opinii osobistej, do poszukiwania intelektualnych argumentów i do wpływu na indywidualne stanowisko autorytetów nauki. Ratzinger sugeruje metodę hermeneutyczną poszukiwania właściwego sensu wiary, która opiera się nie na osiągnięciach naukowych czy personalnych przemyśleniach, ale na Piśmie Świętym, Tradycji, Ojcach Kościoła i jego Magisterium. Treści artykułu koncentrują się wokół czterech zagadnień: Biblii jako normie sensu wiary (1), Tradycji jako fundamencie pogłębienia wiary (2), Ojców Kościoła jako spadkobierców wiary (3) i Magisterium jako urzędu normatywnego sensu wiary (4).

In the present world the interpretation of the sense of faith have been reduced to a personal opinion, an intellectual reason’s search and to the influence on the individual authority stand. Ratzinger suggests a hermeneutic method of the searching for the correct sense of faith that is not based on academic or personal achievements, but on the Bible, Tradition, the Doctors of the Church and its Magisterium. The contents of the article is focused on four problems: the Bible as the sense of faith standard (1), Tradition as the basis of faith intensification (2), the Doctors of the Church as faith inheritors (3) and the Magisterium as the office of the prescriptive sense of faith.

Obronił doktorat z teologii dogmatycznej w roku 2000 na Papieskim Uniwersytecie Gregoriańskim w Rzymie i habilitował się w 2013 r. z teologii fundamentalnej na Wydziale Teologicznym w Lugano. Rektor i wykładowca w Archidiecezjalnym Wyższym Seminarium Duchownym w Białymstoku, na Papieskim Wydziale Teologicznym w Warszawie – Studium Teologii w Białymstoku i w Studium Życia Rodzinnego w Białymstoku. Konsultor Rady Naukowej Konferencji Episkopatu Polski. Redaktor naczelny „Rocznika Teologii Katolickiej”.
