In the 2010 season research of the western part of the castle’s moat aimed at exploring the reinforcement of its bank (Figs. 1, 2) was continued. A further part of a wooden palisade dating back to the 1570s was uncovered (Fig. 3). What is more, the existence ofknown prior reinforcements originating from the 1440s was not confirmed in the section under examination. Among the most interesting findings are two sets - of bowl tiles dating back to the first half of the 16th c. and plate tiles originating from the beginning of the 17th c. (Fig. 4). A ceramic costrel dating back to the beginning of the 17th c. is also an immensely interesting isolated find (Fig. 5).
