W okresie powojennym Francja odnotowała stały przyrost liczby imigrantów, co znacznie wpłynęło na dzisiejszą strukturę społeczeństwa państwa. Chociaż pod względem ekonomicznym imigracja zagraniczna była uważana za sukces kolejnych rządów Francji, od kilku dekad traktowana jest jako poważny problem socjalny, powodujący zagrożenie bezpieczeństwa obywateli. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na napływ ludności z byłych kolonii francuskich, w tym w szczególności z północnej Afryki. W niniejszym materiale autor przedstawia problematykę imigracji na terytorium Francji pod kątem jej potencjalnego wpływu na sytuację wewnętrzną państwa, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem kwestii bezpieczeństwa wewnętrznego, jego zagrożeń, sposobów zapobiegania oraz ich implikacji. Metoda badawcza bazuje na analizach wyników dyskusji, konsultacji i wywiadów przeprowadzonych z przedstawicielami francuskiej administracji oraz służb bezpieczeństwa. Ponadto autor dokonuje analizy i interpretacji ostatnich wydarzeń oraz wyodrębnionej literatury.

In the post-war period, France experienced a constant increase in the numbers of immigrants, the fact that considerably influenced the country’s present social structure. Even though, in the economic sense, foreign migration was treated as success of the subsequent French governments, for a few decades it has been regarded as a serious social problem resulting in deterioration of the citizens’ security. Special attention was paid to the influx of people from former French colonies, in particular from the north of Africa. In this publication, the author presents the issue of international migration to the French Republic in the context of its potential influence on the state’s internal situation with particular stress on internal security, threats, their prevention and implications. The research method was based on analyses of the results of discussions, consultation and interviews conducted with representatives of French administration and security services. Moreover, the author conducts analyses and interprets the latest events and relevant bibliography.
