Kluczem do zrozumienia szczególnej teorii względności Einsteina jest pojęcie czasu i problem możliwości jego synchronizacji. Wychodząc z dwóch postulatów STW, metodami elementarnymi przedstawiono sposób pomiaru czasu w warunkach STW, zarówno dla przypadku pojedynczego, jak i dwóch układów inercjalnych. Na tej podstawie wyprowadzono pojęcia czasu własnego i czasu obserwowanego zjawiska. Zsynchronizowanie zegarów rejestrujących czas własny i czas obserwowany umożliwia porównanie tych czasów, czego efektem jest zjawisko dylatacji czasu. Zwrócono uwagę na związki dylatacji czasu ze STW i jego interpretację w postaci dobrze znanego paradoksu bliźniąt

The key to understand Einsteins Special Theory of Relativity is the time and the possibility of synchronization problem . Proceeding from two postulates of SRT, elementary methods present the way to measure time in terms SRT for both, single and two inertial systems. On this basis, there are derived the own time concept and the time of observed phenomena. Synchronized clocks recording the own time and observed time allows the comparison these times that results in the phenomena of time dilation. There is draw attention to the relationships of time dilation with SRT and its interpretation of well known twin paradox.
