Rescue excavations in the locality of Tłuste, Site II, were carried out in 1976 and 2008-2009. They were related to the planned course of the Masovian part of the A2 motorway. In the course of excavations an area of 794 ares was exposed, i.e., 100% of the site. More than 4800 features were recorded and more than 19000 fragments of ceramic vessels, animal bones and cob, as well as numerous metal, flint, stone and amber finds were gathered. Ten settlement phases were identified. These were related to populations of the Świder Culture, the Desna Culture, the Corded Ware Culture, the Trzciniec Horizon, the Lusatian Culture, the Pomeranian-Cloche Grave Culture, the Jastorf Culture, the Przeworsk Culture as well as of the early Middle Ages and the Modern Period.
