The Fourth Sibylline Oracle is a part of books collection connected by an ancient prophet Sibyl. We can find there both Jewish and Christian traditions. The author of The Fourth Sibylline Oracle is connected with the Jewish Diaspora. The main theme of the book is a call to convert from paganism to the faith in one God the Creator. Sybil shows the way of knowing God by condemning impiety. In the perspective of the coming end only turning to God can help and give salvation.

Il IV Oracolo Sibillino appartiene alla collezione dei libri che secondo la tradizione sono legati alla profetessa Sibilla. Ci troviamo sia la tradizione ebrea che cristiana. L’autore del IV Oracolo sibllino è legato alla diaspora ebrea. Il messaggio di quella opera è la chiamata alla conversione rivolta verso i pagani che conducono la vita empia. Sibilla – stigmatizzando le credenze pagane – indica la via che porta alla conoscenza del Dio vero. Di fronte alla fine che si avvicina, solo il sincero rivolgersi al Dio Creatore può portare uno alla salvezza.
