W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań dotyczących segmentacji gospodarstw domowych ze względu na stopnień zaspokojenia ich potrzeb kwantyfikowany kategorią minimum socjalnego. Do klasyfikacji gospodarstw domowych wykorzystano drzewo klasyfikacyjne typu CART przy zastosowaniu programu statystycznego SPSS. Podstawę informacyjną badań stanowiły jednostkowe dane pochodzące z „Badań budżetów gospodarstw domowych” realizowanych przez Główny Urząd Statystyczny w 2010 r. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że wykształcenie głowy gospodarstwa domowego, wielkość i przynależność do grupy społeczno-ekonomicznej ludności to najważniejsze czynniki wpływające na przynależność do określonej grupy gospodarstw ze względu na zaspokojenie ich potrzeb objętych kategorią minimum socjalnego.

The article presents the results of research on the segmentation of households according to the degree of satisfaction of their needs quantified with the social minimum category. The classification and regression tree (CART) and statistics program SPSS were used to classify households. The information basis for the research was individual data from The Research on Household Budgets made by the Central Statistical Office in 2010. As results from the research, the education of the head of the household, its size and belonging to a particular socioeconomic group of population are the most important factors influencing belonging to a specific group of households, categorized according to the ability to satisfy their needs included in the social minimum.
