Polska w 2012 r. wprowadziła reformę emerytalną, zrównując i podwyższając wiek emerytalny kobiet i mężczyzn.

In 2012 Poland has introduced pension reform which aim was boosting and equalizing the retirement age for men and women. The reason given by government was the growing fiscal burden due to negative demographic changes. However, with a corresponding increase of GDP that impact should be levelled and the share of pension expenditure in GDP should remain constant. Such situation took place in Poland so far, but reform was introduced despite social opposition. However, condition of the public finances are affected by other variables then demographics such as the labour share in GDP discussed in the article. That indicator is reducing in Poland and is significantly lower than the EU average.
