Several of the more fundamental organisational changes relating to kindergarten schools which were recently undertaken and may impact on the school climate are examined. The results of several research projects conducted in the Czech Republic over the last few years help clarify how the social climate is perceived by teachers and headteachers. Questions are also focused on the extent and quality of cooperative tendencies in various large work teams at kindergartens (merged kindergartens, independent subjects) and on what teachers need in order to carry out their profession.
