W artykule podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jakim stopniu niepełnosprawność decyduje o skali wykorzystania Internetu przez osoby, które są nią dotknięte, w jakim natomiast jest ona zależna od ich podstawowych cech demograficzno-społecznych: płci, wieku, wykształcenia, dochodu, statusu społeczno-zawodowego oraz wielkości miejsca zamieszkania. W tym celu scharakteryzowano profil społeczno-demograficzny niepełnosprawnych internautów i zestawiono go z profilami trzech innych kategorii społecznych: sprawnych użytkowników Internetu oraz osób sprawnych i niepełnosprawnych, które z Internetu nie korzystają. W analizie wykorzystano dane pochodzące z badań zrealizowanych w ramach Diagnozy Społecznej 2013.

The aim of the article is to answer the question to what extent the disability determines the scale of the Internet usage by persons with disabilities, and how it is dependend on their basic socio-demographic characteristics: gender, age, education, income, socio-occupational status and the size of the place of residence. For this purpose, sociodemographic profile of the diasbled Internet users was characterized and compiled with the profiles of three other social categories: efficient Internet users and persons with and without disabilities who do not use the Internet. Data from studies carried out in the framework of the Social Diagnosis 2013 were used in the analysis.
