Abstracts

The present contribution examines the Constitutio Antoniniana,taking into account its particular historical-religious subcontext. The legislator’s intention is not anti-Christian even though the Constitutio could have easily facilitated the persecution of Christian Churches. In any case, the Rescript of Caracallarepresents an important step in the growth of the two peoples, those belonging to Caesar and those belonging to Christ.
