The article presents the analysis of the involvement of the Polish Police in international cooperation in legal terms. The main goal was to define the aspects of undertaking cooperation as part of interstate activities and those focused on EU guidelines. The paper pointed Act on the Police as crucial document to show directions and forms of involvement of the Polish Police in international initiatives, such as international police contingent, membership in the Atlas Group or CEPOL ‘s trainings. To organize information presented in the article author discusses institutional and individual context of police international cooperation based on the implementation of official policing tasks in the EU Member State.
