A problem to provide opportunities for further stable economic development, resulting from the collision of the key megatrends, such as the depletion of natural resources, the increasing amount of generated waste or climate change, has been treated by the European Commission very realistically, as demonstrated by the widely-discussed recent package of changes for the circular economy. Some countries are doing better than the others with the implementation of the circular economy and are setting the direction of transformation. One of these countries is the Netherlands, which among experts has been recognised as the European leader in the implementation of the circular economy.
