PL
Niniejszy artykuł stanowi prezentację wyników analizy badań anglojęzycznych dotyczących roli nowych mediów w randkowaniu adolescentów. Strukturę prezentowania tekstu wyznaczają przyjęte kategorie: nawiązywanie, utrzymywanie i budowanie, doświadczanie trudności i rozpad relacji uczuciowych. Adolescenci wykorzystują nowe media do zaspokajania potrzeb związanych z byciem w grupie, ale także z byciem w uczuciowej relacji z partnerem. Z jeden strony mechanizmy funkcjonowania psychologicznego i społecznego młodych ludzi pozostają takie same, należy jednak zauważyć, że nowe media stanowią narzędzie zapośredniczające zaspokajanie ważnych potrzeb rozwojowych. Co więcej, interakcje społeczne użytkowników portali społecznościowych rozgrywają się w znacznej mierze w przestrzeni publicznej i należy zastanowić się, w jakim stopniu relacja z partnerem jest doświadczeniem osobistym, a jak dalece jest to już doświadczenie społeczne.
