This article is concerned about ethic history and ethos of the knights. It guides read-er to middle ages in which the elements of knights codex were crystallized. Carolingian state created characteristic kind of military elite. Forming feudal system led to rised a system of interplays which the central point was military attention towards the senior. The Carolingian warrior announced the early middle ages knights. Wars of Charles the Great was wars con-cerning about holy order. Himself in line of current people belief stand in a row with bibles lords. It believed that his political activity is inspired by Divine Providence. According with this activity there were also evidently large-scale 'mission works' which was carrying proselytize and propagate Christianity as well. The carolingian warrior closely correspond with later knight of Cru-sades. The main base of analysis relating to conceptions of early middle ages knight ethos will be the masterpiece of carolingian writer – Dhuoda from Septimania – Liber manualis – Textbook. This work was written for adolescent son of the author and was a specific guidebook of upstanding behaviour for aristocrat. This document is an example of early knight codex.
