Celem artykułu jest opisanie 10-letniej działalności kierunku muzykologia w Uniwersytecie Opolskim. Niniejszy tekst nakreśla kulisy jego powstania, podejmowaną działalność naukową opolskiego ośrodka, aktywność studencką, profil studiów oraz jego przeobrażenia na różnych etapach działalności opolskiej muzykologii, wydarzenia naukowe i kulturalno-artystyczne, współpracę z zagranicznymi ośrodkami i profesorami gościnnymi, a także charakterystyczne elementy wizerunkowe. Artykuł przybliża tym samym opolski model kształcenia muzykologicznego, a także nakreśla całościowy obraz i znaczenie muzykologii Uniwersytetu Opolskiego.

The purpose of the article is to describe the 10 years of Musicology at the University of Opole. This text outlines the backstage of its initiation, the scientific activities of the Opole Musicology, student activity, profile of studies and its transformations at various stages of the Opole Musicology, scientific and cultural-artistic events, cooperation with foreign centers and guest professors, as well as characteristic image elements. The article thus introduces the Opole model of musicological education, and also outlines the overall image and meaning of Musicology at the University of Opole.
