Chris Marker jest twórcą podróżnikiem, który od początku swych doświadczeń artystycznych poruszał się z kamerą po całym świecie: od Chin, przez Syberię, Moskwę po Europę i Amerykę Południową. Wraz z rozwojem nowych technologii zmieniał także swoje narzędzia poznania rzeczywistości, nie zmieniając jednakże swych pierwszych zainteresowań odmiennością, sytuacją polityczną czy kreowaniem realności przez media. Jego wędrówki zaprowadziły go także do pejzażu wirtualnej rzeczywistości, dopełniając wachlarz bytów oraz możliwych do zobaczenia krajobrazów. Poruszę zatem problematykę związaną z korelacją pomiędzy krajobrazem a technologią, która go mediatyzuje, pamięcią (kraj)obrazu, która jest ukształtowana przez technikę, reżysera oraz sam pejzaż.

Chris Marker is a traveler who, since the very beginning of his artistic career, has visited the whole world with his camera: from China, through Siberia, Moscow, to Europe and South America. Along with the development of new technologies he also changed his tools of learning about reality, however, he did not leave his original interests in diversity, political situation or creating reality by media. His travels led him to the landscape of virtual reality, thus completing the range of beings and landscapes possible to see. Therefore, the article will deal with the issues connected with the correlation between landscape and technology which mediates it, with memory of landscape which is shaped by technology, a director and the landscape itself.
