Author discusses the relationship between word, voice and hearing. His theological reflection is based on biblical texts. The main idea of the paper concentrates on division between the people who can hear the tones and those who can interpret them. Recalling some biblical excerpts (including Paul’s journey to Damascus, the Baptism of Jesus, the Transfiguration of Christ on Mount Tabor and Peter’s Denial) author shows that vocation as music artist is the result of God’s grace. Not everyone can become a musician, just like not everyone understood the voice of God, even though they did hear the voice of nature.
