Obecną sytuację młodzieży na rynku pracy w Niemczech określić można jako pomyślną, cechującą się niską stopą bezrobocia. Jest wiele czynników wpływających na ten stan rzeczy, ale najważniejszym wydaje się być dualny system kształcenia zawodowego młodzieży. Niemcy posiadają też rozwinięty i zróżnicowany system poradnictwa i doradztwa zawodowego oraz szeroki wachlarz instrumentów polityki rynku pracy. Aktywne programy zatrudnienia dla młodych ludzi skierowane są na orientację zawodową i wspieranie startu zawodowego, a dualny system szkolenia zawodowego jest bramą otwierającą im wejście na rynek pracy.

The current labour market situation of young people in Germany is favourable due to a low youth unemployment rate. Reasons for that situation are manifold, but the most important factor appears to be the dual apprenticeship training system for adolescents. Moreover, Germany has a developed a highly differentiated set of guidance and counselling tools, as well as a wide portfolio of labour market policy instruments. Active labour market programmes for young people are mainly focused on pre-training activities, while the apprenticeship training acts as an entry gate to the labour market.
