The article presents excavation research results of a multicultural site in Bykowszczyzna where within the area of 1.84 ha 1192 features were documented dated back to the Bronze Age, the Hallstatt period, the Roman period, early and late Middle Ages and the modern period. Also 11 679 pieces of mobile materials were obtained. Spatial analysis indicates that settlement was located on elevated areas, which were covered by archaeological field survey to a small degree. The registered remains of the features were mainly related to peripheral parts of prehistoric and ancient settlements. This image was changed in the period of Middle Ages and the modern times, as climate and hydrological changes enabled occupying increasing amount of areas for settlement.
