At the present stage of the development of vocational education is its reform. Optimization of the vocational education of the diversified types is aimed at meeting the requirements of the labor market and economic characteristics of the state. It is an important regional perspective of industry, agriculture, services for the development of vocational education. One of the most powerful economic regions of Ukraine is the North-East. The lack of elaborated problems of historical development of vocational education in the region leads to the relevance of the study. The article analyzes the problems of industrial training of the students in vocational education of the North-Eastern Ukraine as an example of the Sumy region in the 60-ies of the twentieth century. The positive and negative aspects of practical training of the students in industrial enterprises are revealed. In order to ensure quality training the institutions and regional administration paid much attention to the creation of the necessary material and technical base of industrial training and recruiting the staff education masters of industrial training. The question of provision of vocational education workshops for production of high-quality industrial training by which formed the key skills and abilities of the students received occupations is considered. Vocational and technical education had difficulties in procurement of additional equipment, tools due to the abundance of not funding. The analysis of archival sources has revealed that the State Committee for vocational education only ordered vocational education workshops to convert 30 jobs. The appropriate questions of logistics are not solved. Thus, industrial training in vocational schools in the 60-ies years of the twentieth century has its positive and negative sides. On the one hand the active development of a network of the institutions has created new, technologically sophisticated professions which are adjusted to interact with vocational schools and industrial, agricultural, service. On the other hand there is a need of further development of the legal framework for regulation of vocational education, logistical support education workshops, equipment, tools, ensuring production quality. Further scientific studies require the development of regulatory and logistical base of vocational education.
