This article is a summary of the information policy of the Polish government in matters related to the European Union in the years 1989–2014. It analyses the initial situation and the development of this policy, both before and after Poland’s accession to the European Union. It examines the bodies responsible for information activity, differences in information policy between the pre-accession and post-accession periods, objectives of the policy, its effi ciency, and its cooperation with the European Commission. It also examines the way Poland prepared information to introduce the euro.
