Podstawą teoretyczną podjętych badań jest koncepcja przywiązania Johna Bowlby’ego. Między innymi na jej podstawie istnieje możliwość wyjaśnienia zachowań problemowych u dzieci z naruszoną więzią z rodzicami. Celem podjętych badań było przedstawienie zachowań problemowych podopiecznych „Domów dla Dzieci” na początku ich pobytu oraz po upływie roku. Zachowania problemowe zdiagnozowane zostały za pomocą kwestionariusza zachowań problemowych Thomasa Achenbacha. Po rocznym pobycie podopiecznych w „Domu dla Dzieci” można stwierdzić, że uległo istotnej poprawie ich funkcjonowanie na skali zaburzeń myślenia, wycofania, lęku i depresji. Natomiast zmiany w obszarze pozostałych zachowań problemowych nie wykazały istotnych statystycznie różnic.

The theoretical basis of the study is the concept of attachment formulated by Bowlby. On its basis it is possible to explain the problem behavior of children with disrupted bonding with their parents. The aim of this study was to present the problem behavior young people from „Homes for Children” at the beginning of their stay and after one year. Problematic behaviors have been diagnosed by the questionnaire of problem behaviors created by Achenbach. During the year-long stay in the „House for Children” it can be stated that the there have been noticed a significant improvement in their functioning on the scale of disorder thinking, withdrawal, anxiety and depression. However, changes in the area of other problem behaviors did not show the statistically significant differences.
