The scope of this paper is a problem of a simile including a proper name. As it was claimed by Lech Krajewski, it is possible to create a simile on the basis of selected, stereotypical features of object names. This characteristic is clear when it comes to similes with proper names. Such similes are, as well as metaphors and words-from-names, one of the most important connotative expressions that were taken under consideration during the work on “A Dictionary of Proper Names, Metaphors and Connotaions’’.
