Te article presents the history and the main assumptions of extracurricular forms of religious education. As an example of these forms of education have been given and described contests: Olympiad of Catholic Teology and the National Competition of Bible Knowledge. Both contests have over 20 years of tradition. Terefore, they are described in the article.
